I have always been interested in drawing and painting. My mother who also enjoyed painting, did miniatures in watercolours and wall murals in acrylic. She encouraged me to paint and try different media to see which ones would work for me to capture the subject I was painting.

​Over the years I have tried a wide variety of most of which I still use - pencil (graphite and coloured) charcoal, pen and ink, conte, pastel, watercolour and acrylic. I used to paint in oil as well, but once I found acrylic paint I never went back. I also try any new media that comes along to see if it will help me create something new and different.

The different art media are still a learning experience that I will continue to enjoy exploring.
