Welcome our New Artists to APFTA
The Robert Bateman Award
We are thrilled to announce that A PLACE for the ARTS has been nominated for The Robert Bateman Award – Conservation in the Arts by the Canadian Wildlife Federation, as they celebrate their 50th anniversary!
At A PLACE for the ARTS, many of our artisans pour their hearts and souls into creating stunning artistic representations of Canadian wildlife and their natural habitats. Through our fine art, sculptures, and photography, we strive to continuously raise awareness about the beauty and importance of our natural world. 🍁🐾
But we don't stop there! Many of our artists have generously dedicated proceeds from their work and offsite events to support local parks and wildlife protection initiatives. From Turtle Guardians to Algonquin Park and Eagles Nest Park, we're committed to giving back to the environment and our community. 🌿🦅
We thank our artists for their continued support in blending art and conservation. Together, we can make a difference!

Congratulation to the winner -- Harrison Burton of Pine Grove, N.S. is an underwater cinematographer, filmmaker and aerial photographer who focuses on the health, well-being, and protection of aquatic environments. His credits include the award-winning documentary Expedition Nictau which explores the wonders and dilemmas facing the lake, located in a New Brunswick’s provincial park. “It’s my belief that visual storytelling and dive exploration, like the work we conducted in Nictau Lake, are a key step in inspiring people to both care and act on protecting these natural spaces for future generations,” he said.
