A CREATIVE OASIS
We love art, and community! Welcome to A Place for the Arts (APFTA), in Bancroft, Ontario. Located on scenic Bridge Street, APFTA is surrounded by restaurants and cafes, and just a short walk from the historic Village Playhouse Theatre. With over 40 members, our Artists Collective is a vibrant community of creatives, who are eager to share their work and inspiration.
Our main area, The Gallery Store, features new art each month, and visitors are encouraged to take their time and ‘hang out.’ There’s a pleasant seating area, and you can even grab a fresh espresso from the Muse Cafe next door and bring it in with you. Our space is an excellent place to meet a friend, or even just curl up with a book.
Don’t miss visiting our Annex Gallery, which features solo exhibits (see schedule here), and check out our upcoming workshops, where you can learn techniques hands on, directly from our artists.
Interested in becoming a member? We have studio space memberships, which include 24 hour use of the upstairs studio space. We also have exhibition memberships, which puts your art on display in our beautiful gallery shop. Not an artist? Help support us with a Community Membership (and get some pretty sweet perks) for as little as $20/year!
