Hi, I'm Manuela Schmidlechner |

Manuela is an award winning Fine Art Graduate from York University. She has had her pieces accepted into many juried shows and has exhibited her works in numerous exhibitions.
She prefers to paint on large canvas with acrylic and oil, using brushes and pallet knives. She never uses underpainting and rarley sketches out her ideas. The subject matter on her pieces flow organically. The image is not as important as the movement, colour and shapes.
Her style is organic and filled with movement and emotion whether the subject matter is a landscape, slice of life, city-scapes or abstract. Manuela's pieces convey that there are no solids. She believes that we are all connected and the universe is an organic, beautiful, chaotic, dance with no beginning and no end.
Manuela is wanting the viewers curiosity, emotion and imagination to awaken, thus allowing the observer to experience the movement, tone, colour and shapes. She is wanting the viewer to see their world and it's meaning in a new and profound way.
