As an artist, I am moved by colour, the change of seasons and the beauty of the natural world. Through the richness of oil paint, I allow myself to express that joy.
After a successful career in nursing, I decided to devote my retirement years to painting. I paint every day, and it brings me such joy. Having completed many large paintings, I eventually turned to impressionist landscapes. Working from an inspirational photo on a black canvas, I sketch my scene using cadmium red and work from light to dark. This method gives both depth and warmth to my paintings.
