I have been involved in art since I was very young. I’ve painted with oils for many years and am a Graduate of Toronto School of Art. I have always loved nature and wildlife, and I bought my first Canon DSLR around 15 years ago. I started really being interested in Wildlife Photography, and really started pursuing it 6 years ago. I taught myself how to track animals and I read up on all the animals I photograph. I want my work to be beautiful, but to also tell a story. I want the viewer to feel connected with the animals, and I also want to educate people. I am more on the conservation end of wildlife photography. I want my work to have an impact on our wildlife, whether it is telling a story of a Threatened Species, or showing people they do not need to fear animals.
I have been published in Canadian Geographic on a number of occasions and my work has been used in calendars. I have sold many pieces with collectors across Canada and in Europe. One of my main focuses is on the Algonquin Wolf, also known as the Eastern Wolf. They are a Threatened Species here in Ontario, and I want to bring awareness to this. I also want to show my audience the amazing wildlife we have in Canada.
