I am a self-taught fine art photographer and I'm based in Stouffville, Canada but also call Bancroft and Picton my extended homes.
My photography focuses primarily on nature and landscapes. I often interpret these landscapes into ‘painterly’ abstractions which bring out the energy and life that can often be difficult to communicate in traditional photographic formats.
To me, photography is the art of 'seeing', deliberately. It’s also about finding beauty in ordinary places. I have a fascination with light and texture, leaning towards impressionism and communicating some of the 'feel' of what presents itself to me. I want my viewers to share my experiences through my photographs.
I love to spend my time in the outdoors, often on long hikes down seldom-used trails and in places where people have had minimal impact on the environment
