About the Exhibition
Debbie Christie uses her artistic talent in glass work. She finds combining colours and textures to create something eye catching and meaningful the challenge of her artistic impression and interpretation of the world around her.
John Christie paints almost exclusively outdoors. On location things like warm sun, cool breezes, singing birds, biting insects and inquisitive strangers all impact his work. He strives to evoke the same emotions for the viewers of his artwork.
Valerie Crowder interprets landscapes into their essential elements - the underlying geometric forms and the predominant colours and textures. This allows the viewer an opportunity to appreciate the purity of, and be grounded by nature.
Manuela Schmidlechner paints on canvas with oil and acrylic. The subject matter is not always evident - the focus is on movement, tone, colour and shape - awakening the viewers curiosity, emotions and imagination; to see the world and its meaning in a new and profound way.
