Since childhood I have been in awe over many of the smallest things in life but especially over the vastness of creation. Creativity is just part of everyone’s nature and I try to help others relax into that knowing. I feel very confident and humble when I hold a brush and just channel the creative energy of the universe to pass through me and onto the canvas.The joy of painting is teaching others to do the same and in the process I also learn from them.

Let go and enjoy the process. I have had many mentors along the way and appreciate all who want to share their talents and knowledge. My favourite was Vera Wilson, my art teacher at Port Colborne High School. I spent 4 years soaking up every word this woman taught me about oil painting and just life in general, she was amazing and a friend of the group of seven and her stories of adventure were the best.

I always tell my new painters, paint the world the way you want to see it. I am always surprised how many times the things I paint later materialize.

Also, when you paint with other people there are so many treasured memories created at that time that every painting feels special because it is a masterpiece recall of the day. I am always in a constant learning mode and hope to continue for years to come. Some of my other passions are cooking, dancing, watching documentaries and other artists paint.
