Hi, I'm Jane Armstrong |
Feel free to get intouch
|
After a career in advertising & raising two kids in the Burlington area, I retired to spend the summers at our newly built cottage in 2007, on Baptiste Lake, N of Bancroft ON. Since 1963 I was lucky enough to spend long childhood summers on the same wilderness lake. My happy place is my art studio by the lake.
While living in Burlington, I joined the Art Gallery of Burlington. Entered juried shows & enjoyed life drawing. By chance in 2014 I was invited to one of the first meetings of what would become A Place For The Arts, artist gallery & collective in Bancroft. Never having shown my work before, I welcomed the feedback. For two years I was Chair of APFTA. Living in the Peterborough area for a few years, I joined The Kawartha Artist’s Gallery & Studio (now Studio 201) I sold my work & was involved as a director there. December 2020, downsized to St. Thomas, closer to our grown kids & old friends. Although we have moved around a bit the one constant has always been the same lake & wilderness up north.
I look forward to evolving & improving my art in a post pandemic world.
