I started drawing and painting at a very early age, age 6 I believe. I have many framed pieces of art on my wall from the early age of 14. I started my career at the Toronto Sun when I was 25, and was there in various capacities for 33 years. I was a page designer for the majority of those years. I have always painted during those years, mostly in watercolour and oils.
I belonged to the Oshawa Art Association. My art was accepted many times for their annual juried art show. I retired from the paper almost 2 years ago to date. At that time I started painting in acrylics and discovered the dutch pour painting technique, which I love. I like the freedom it gives me and the unusual results.
I belong to the Bancroft Art Gallery and accepted a position with the APFTA last year as the executive director of the facility.
