Art Smart Workshop: Molten Wax Exploration, with Deborah Ann Morris

A great opportunity to learn encaustic painting without the overhead of buying materials. Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, involves using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added. The liquid or paste is then applied to a surface—usually prepared wood, though canvas and other materials are often used. Deborah Ann Morris is teaching this workshop.

Deborah inherited strong, creative roots. Flourishing like a vine through formal education and experience as Professional Teacher of Visual Arts, Drama, Music, Dance and Literary Arts, Deborah’s artful journey branches out into: Environmental Arts, Gardening/Horticulture, and Culinary Creations.

Sharing her talents, Deborah has worked in her community as Artistic Facilitator Assistant with autistic children, provided community access to the Arts through Summer Art Camps and successfully offered seasonal and fundraising Art Teas. Deborah has been employed as Residential Counsellor for autistic adults, volunteered in hospitals as well as community retirement residences.
