Feb 26 and Mar 5 - Shadow Theatre
Shadow Play! Kids 8-14 (ish) create their own shadow puppets and help construct an actual shadow box theatre. We will then take part in performing in one of the oldest forms of storytelling and entertainment!

A Place for the Arts (APFTA) is grateful and super excited to have Tanya Mahar of the Samadhi Centre leading weekly meditation classes starting this November and continuing throughout the winter until January.
Join us on Tuesdays at 11am, to learn techniques to calm the mind, better cope with pain, and release stress. Classes last for an hour.

John Foreman brings his merry band of musicians for a monthly open microphone night with featured performers. All strummers and drummers, pluckers and bowers, clappers, singers and penny whistle blowers are welcome to sign up. We are all stars! Performers play 3 songs –and more later if time allows. Last Friday of each month.
Participants will explore the possibilities of wire and learn basic techniques to create a 3 dimensional sculpture. They will have the option of creating a rooster or other piece of their choice.
