MARCH 1 - Arts & Culture: BEAUTY IS EMBARRASSING
Filmmaker Neil Berkeley documents the life and times of American artist Wayne White.
Join us every Thursday night at 6pm for a documentary at a Place for the Arts!
Always on the first Thursday of the months we show films about creativity, brilliant artists and all types of art. We explore interesting projects from all over the world and get inspired by interesting stories from those who have art in their heart.
MORE UPCOMING EVENTS
John Foreman brings his merry band of musicians for a monthly open microphone night with featured performers. Last Friday of each month.
This upcoming workshop is great opportunity to learn encaustic painting without the overhead of buying materials. Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, involves using heated beeswax to which coloured pigments are added. The liquid or paste is then applied to a surface—usually prepared wood, though canvas and other materials are often used. Deborah Ann Morris is teaching this workshop.
