I am a mostly self-taught artist. I have taken weekend workshops through my career to help me define my voice. I started doing abstracts in 2010 mostly in acrylics. Today I paint in oil and cold wax with a few interesting other elements as well like pencils, oils pastels, soft pastels.
Mostly my work starts with a line that I follow and see where it takes me, add some color add some lines. It doesn’t sound exciting but it worked.
I have changed and therefore the work needed to change so today I am defining a new voice in my work. Still oil and cold wax but the mood appears to be different.
