Celebrating 3 Years of Awesome at APFTA! [photo slideshow]

What did WE do for summer vacation? We CELEBRATED THREE YEARS OF AWESOMENESS AT A PLACE FOR THE ARTS!

Don't worry if you missed the party, you can watch this slideshow and see how we've evolved from a group of like-minded artists with a vision, into a vibrant thriving creative hub! And then drop by for a chat and a cappuccino and connect with us in person! Long live A Place For The Arts!

Imagine sitting in a comfortable chair, leafing through the latest issue of Canadian Art while sipping an espresso, watching a gentle snow fall on a cold, lazy day. A conversation about social justice is taking place, Ella Fitzgerald is playing on the stereo and a photographer is showing a visitor some of his latest portraits. Wow, this is so cool you think, can I live here? Welcome to A Place for the Arts in Bancroft Art Co-op!

We are a group of like minded people who enjoy and create art, and share a fabulous space downtown Bancroft. Lucky for us, one of our members has superb barista skills and opened a cappuccino bar in the space, now operated by lovely Magda and Marion. In early summer of 2015 we welcomed Community Trust into A Place. This organization provides help to the folks around town that need it most. Together, we want A Place for the Arts to grow into the community hub we know we can create, a space that welcomes anyone with a desire to connect with the creative community.

A PLACE FOR THE ARTS IS A NON-PROFIT ARTISTS CO-OPERATIVE, WITH A SHOP AND STUDIOS IN BANCROFT, ONTARIO. ANYONE IS WELCOME! WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR IDEAS, NEEDS, AND INPUT, WITH THE INTENTION OF FINDING AND DEVELOPING AN AFFORDABLE PLACE FOR STUDIOS, ARTISTS, COMMUNITY RESOURCE PROVIDERS ETC TO CENTRALIZE AND BRING ARTS AND CULTURE TO THE AREA.
