JANE ARMSTONG - PAINTER
I have always been a creative person. My mother and grandmother on my Fathers side were artists. I grew up with the constant smell of oil paints and turpentine.
I studied fine arts at Windsor University then switched over to OCAD to pursue a career in advertising. I did the creative’s for an Ad Agency before successfully starting my own advertising business in Burlington.
Now retired and enjoying summers at our cottage on Baptiste Lake, there was time to get creative. Hanging on the walls were three generations of artwork. The third being my kids. I was the missing artist. By 2014, I was hooked on painting. Since 1963, four generations of artists have been inspired on the lake here.
The intrigue of art is that you never know where you will go next.
