LOIS SHAW The Nature of Glass Where nature, fused glass and fin art meet! Glass is a wonderful medium to work with. It is full of colour, transparent or opaque. When it is cold it is brittle and when hot becomes fluid. I like to combine my love for glass fusing with my love for painting. Fusing is the technique of joining two or more pieces of glass by heat in a kiln. There are many different glass fusing techniques which result in items ranging from jewellry, garden art, functional pieces such as bowls, plates, etc., and sculptures. |

KATHY HAYCOCK Rock Water Wind The natural world - the landscape I love and paint - has been especially generous this past year. Exposed bedrock has provided me with grounding, I’ve been refreshed by our rivers and lakes, and glimpsed hope for the future carried in the wind. In this exhibition I share with you, the viewer, my thanks for all the special places I have experienced and committed to canvas.
